CAA Movie Night "A Serious Man"

Description: On September 14th we resume CAA's movie night with the Coen Brothers' dark comedy, "A Serious Man." This retelling of the Book of Job takes place in suburban Minnesota in 1967. Suffering under the strain of his deteriorating career and family life, Larry Gopnik (Michael Sthulbarg), a physics professor, reaches out to three rabbis in the hopes of finding meaning in the mess that is his life.

Sthulbarg received a Golden Globe nomination for his performance as Larry Gopnik, and A Serious Man was nominated for an Oscar and placed on the top ten list of the American Film Institute and the National Board of Review.

Refreshments will be served, and Andrea Levin will facilitate a discussion after the film.
