Description:
All Other Nights by Dara Horn A gripping historical novel set among American Jewish communities during the Civil War. Like other ethnic groups, American Jews were starkly divided, depending on where they lived. The novelís protagonist, Jacob Rappaport, is a Jewish soldier for the Union Army who is sent as a spy to a Southern Jewish community, where he is charged with foiling a plot to assassinate Lincoln in 1862. Based on real historical characters, Hornís novel has many plot twists that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The CAA Library has multiple copies of this novel available to be borrowed. Weíll discuss it over a light supper on Tuesday, July 17. Did you miss out on previous CAA Book Club offerings? Thereís something for everyone: historical fiction, modern fiction, theology, contemporary issues in Judaism, biblical history. We have multiple copies of previous Book Club books and they are available for all CAA members to borrow.
